Is this real ballistic glass, or a visual simulation?

Yes. We use real ballistic glass. Some pieces are created from pre-impacted glass, while others are commissioned works in which the impact becomes part of the creation itself, introduced by our artist or, if desired, by the collector (customer) under guided and controlled conditions. The resulting marks are authentic, irreversible traces preserved in the material, making each work singular and unrepeatable.

Is the artwork safe to display in a home or gallery?

Absolutely. After impact, the glass is professionally stabilized, framed, and sealed for safe indoor display. The artwork is no longer functional as protective material—it is presented purely as art, designed to be safely displayed in homes, offices, or galleries.

Are all pieces unique, or part of an edition?

Each Surthrivia piece is unique.
Because no two impacts are ever identical, every work carries a singular physical history that cannot be replicated. Some works may belong to a small thematic series, but the impact itself—and its resulting pattern—is always one of one.
